Beneficial Fly Parasites
For best results it is beneficial to start using fly parasites early in the spring when the weather starts warming up, and then every 3 to 4 weeks throughout the summer fly season until the weather begins to cool off in the fall. Flies reproduce 9 times greater than fly parasites – to control flies repetition is important.

Beneficial Whitefly Parasites
Smaller than the head of a pin, the Encarsia feeds only on whitefly and is both a predator and a parasite, in that the adult female will eat the adult whitefly and lay eggs in the whitefly larvae.

Green Lacewing
Target pests: Aphids, Whitefly, Leafminer, Mites. The Green Lacewing is not as widely known as the Lady Bug but controls the same type of pests and is not as prone to fly off. They are sold in their egg stage, which will hatch into larvae in 3 to 5 days, or in the larvae stage for faster control.

Spider Mite Predators

Mosquito Dunks
Place Mosquito Dunks in ponds or standing water and it’s active ingredient, Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israaelenses called BTI kills mosquito and black fly larvae for 30 days or more. While floating they slowly release a long term biological mosquito larvacide killing the larvae before they hatch into adults. Will not effect fish, plants, people or wildlife. Use one dunk per 100 sqft of water surface.

Sticky Yellow Cards
Target pests: Whitefly, aphids, fruitfly, gnats & wasps The name says it all. They are cards, colored yellow with a sticky coating. Pests from aphids to wasps are attracted to the yellow color and get stuck and die. The best part is Beneficial Insects are not attracted to yellow so they will work together well. Lasts until completely covered. Use one or two in a greenhouse or garden to monitor if there is a pest problem or place every 10 to 15 feet depending on the level of infestation.
